Laurie Tye
Laurie Tye lives in Taylorsville, Utah. She is a mother of six and has spent a lot of time on the family farm in Hooper. She has a degree from Brigham Young University in Education, and a second degree from Salt Lake Community College in American Sign Language. In April 2004 she was awarded the title Mrs. Utah and in 2005 won the title of Mrs. Intercontinental. She has written childrens books, short stories, poems, songs and performs cowboy poetry. Her childrens book titled, The Animal In Me is published and can be found in all major book stores. Can You Hear The Poppies? Is soon to be on the book shelves, and she is currently working on The Animal In Me, too. Laurie is a member of Cowboy Poets of Utah, Cowboy Poets of Idaho and the Western Music Association. |
